This Privacy Policy explains how Artifex Technology (“Artifex,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects your personal information when you visit artifextechnology.com (the “Site”), use our ThreadOS product and related services, interact with our forms, or engage with our advertising on third-party platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram) (collectively, the “Services”).

Please read this policy carefully. By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information from and about you:

a. Information you provide to us directly

When you join a waitlist, request a free sample, or otherwise contact us through a form on the Site, we collect the information you submit, which may include:

• Contact details — your email address and, where you provide it, your phone number.
• Business and product details — such as your brand or company name, a product link or category, and the product type you are interested in.
• Preferences — such as the pricing plan or billing option you select.
• Any other information you choose to include in messages or correspondence with us.

b. Information collected automatically

When you access the Site, certain information is collected automatically by our infrastructure and hosting provider, including:

• Device and browser information — such as your browser type and user-agent string.
• Network and server information — such as your IP address and approximate location derived from it.
• Usage information — such as the referring page or source that led you to us, your language/locale preference, and the date and time of your request.

c. Information from third parties

If you reach us through an advertisement or link on a third-party platform (for example, Meta’s Facebook or Instagram), that platform may share limited information with us, such as the campaign or referral that brought you to the Site. We also receive aggregated and de-identified analytics about the performance of our advertising from those platforms. Your use of third-party platforms is governed by their own privacy policies.

2. How and Why We Use Your Information

We process your personal information for the following purposes:

• To provide our Services — to respond to your waitlist signup or free-sample request, deliver the product, sample, or information you asked for, and manage our relationship with you.
• To communicate with you — to reply to your inquiries, send you service-related messages, and, where you have opted in or where permitted by law, send you product updates and promotional emails.
• To recognize and remember you — so that we can recognize you on a return visit and avoid duplicate requests.
• To operate, secure, and improve the Services — to maintain the reliability and security of the Site, prevent fraud and abuse, and understand how the Services are used so we can improve them.
• To measure and improve our advertising — to understand which campaigns are effective and to reach relevant audiences.
• To comply with law — to meet our legal, tax, and regulatory obligations and to enforce our terms.

Where required by applicable law, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases to process your information: your consent, the performance of a contract with you, our legitimate business interests, and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time (see Your Rights and Choices).

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers and infrastructure. We use Cloudflare, Inc. to host the Site and to store form submissions in a Cloudflare D1 database. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
• Advertising platforms. When you interact with our advertising, platforms such as Meta process related data in accordance with their own policies. We do not share your form submissions with these platforms for their independent use.
• Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Artifex, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy — for example, to provide the Services you requested, to maintain our waitlist or sample records, and to comply with legal obligations — after which we delete or anonymize it. You may request deletion sooner at any time, as described below.

5. How to Request Deletion of Your Data

You have the right to request that we delete the personal information we hold about you. To make a deletion request, email us at info@artifextechnology.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request” and the email address (and, if applicable, phone number) you used with the Services, so we can locate your records.

We will verify your request, delete the associated personal information from our active databases within a reasonable period, and confirm once it is complete, except where we are required or permitted by law to retain certain information. This process is free of charge.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:

• the right to access the information we hold about you;
• the right to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
• the right to request deletion of your information (see How to Request Deletion);
• the right to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
• the right to data portability; and
• the right to unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site uses cookies and local storage strictly necessary for its operation and to remember your preferences, such as your theme (light/dark), language settings, and your cookie choice.

With your consent, we also use analytics and advertising cookies: Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the Site, and the Meta Pixel on our advertising pages, to measure the performance of our ads on Facebook and Instagram. These are not loaded unless you select “Accept” in the cookie banner; if you select “Reject”, only the strictly necessary storage above is used. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, after which the banner will ask again. You can also control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some features.

8. International Data Transfers

We and our service providers may process and store your information in countries other than your own, including through Cloudflare’s global network. Where required, we take steps to ensure that such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards.

9. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration, including encryption in transit (HTTPS). However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
